Hawaiian: “O ka makapo wale no ka mea hapapa I ka pouli”
“Only the blind grope in the darkness”
The most radical thing you can do in life is to be true to yourself. But how can we be true if we have no inner guiding light; when we cannot see into the depth of our soul?
In the fast paced world of the “next thing” and “bigger better”, when technological advances cause the deepest part of our soul to retreat, when we mistake motion for progress and replace satisfaction and contentment with hurry and worry, we need a time out. We need a “Clean Break.”
We need something that takes us to the breaking point of our endurance and courage for it only at the level where our spirit and soul meet that we discover the end of our selves. It is only at that place, when we have really plumbed the depth of our souls, that we find our deepest self and we experience a break through into the deepest part of our heart on the threshold of all that we are meant to be.
It is here that the inner light bursts out shining as a beacon illuminating the true treasure of our hearts that we find the courage to pursue our deepest desires.
